Week 10 Waiver Wire/Free Agent Targets

Week 10

Upcoming Bye Weeks

Week 10: CHI, NYG, CIN, HOU

Week 11: LAR, DEN

Week 12: ARI, KC

Week 13: CAR, CLE, GB, TEN

Week 14: IND, MIA, NE, PHI

Ryan Fitzpatrick/Taylor Heinicke

Whoever starts going forward for the WFT is worth the add. They immediately get the Bucs defense out of the gate in Week 10 at home. On top of that, the WFT is looking to get back various contributors Curtis Samuel, Dyami Brown, & Logan Thomas. Going forward this offense should put up solid numbers and in games like this, they will be forced to throw.

Taysom Hill

Keep an eye on this situation. Siemian got the start in Week 9 against the Falcons and played a terrible first 3 quarters of the game. The saints started playing well late but It wasn’t enough. Hill is much more dynamic than Siemian and allows Payton to get creative. I was surprised Hill didn’t play against the Falcons and he is worth a shot to pick up in fantasy. If he gets the nod, he is a top 12 QB option.

Ben Roethlisberger

Big Ben doesn’t bring anything flashy to the table. One thing we know is that the volume will be there as the ownership refuses to force Ben out and he has no desire to retire. He wants to throw it as much as possible. They get the Lions in Week 10 so it doesn’t get juicier than that.

Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan is playing some great football under the guidance of Arthur Smith calling the plays. They are quietly the 7th seed and final Wild Card spot in the NFC. Ryan offers a solid floor and a decent ceiling. The Falcons are in Dallas in Week 10.

D’Ernest Johnson

Johnson is the only active RB the Browns can bring to the table after 3 of their 4 backs have tested positive for COVID. The matchup is tough Sunday against the Patriots but the Browns will force the ball on the ground and I expect this OL to impose its will. Johnson is a solid back due for some big volume.

Devin Singletary

Moss left the game against the Jags with a head injury. Singletary has been underwhelming as a runner but he was used significantly in the air which is what we want. He saw 8 targets bringing in 7 for 43 yards. If Moss misses this week against the Jets, he should get 65%+ of the snaps. If Moss plays, Singletary is a low end FLEX at best in PPR.

Devonta Freeman

Freeman has established himself as the 1A for the Ravens backfield. He looks the most explosive and is building chemistry with Lamar on the RPO. He offers a great floor getting 12-15 touches a week and a great bet to fall into the endzone on a weekly basis. This is a matchup proof situation and a weekly strong FLEX start.

Kenyan Drake

Drake is quietly putting together a nice 3 game stretch pocketing performances of 20.30, 15.40 & 13 in full PPR scoring. He has done this in various ways but what sticks out is his 8 targets leading to 6 grabs for 70 yards this last week against the Giants. He offers scoring upside and upside through the air. If Jacobs gets hurt I’m not so sure this coaching staff leans on Barber like Gruden did.

Brandon Bolden

Both Harris and Stevenson are dealing with injuries heading into Week 10. Not only does Bolden offer stand alone PPR value with those guys healthy, he will get some ground work with them out. Keep an eye on their availability. Either way, Bolden is a good add and a solid FLEX play even with them healthy and active.

Eno Benjamin

Edmonds is slated to miss a few games. He will be the direct backup to Conner. Worth an add as I don’t think they’ll just run Conner into the ground.

Rashod Bateman

Bateman is an elite talent and has firmly cemented himself as the WR2 and 3rd option behind Andrews and Hollywood. The world still views the Ravens as a run first team and that simply isn’t true. Bateman ran routes on 83% of Lamar’s drop backs and has now averaged 10.6 fantasy points per game the last 2 games. He has elite route running abilities and has shown great hands. Lamar just missed him on a large gain of 50 yards as well which would have even more so bolstered his box score.

Hunter Renfrow

I’ll keep putting him in here. Just pick him up and play him.

Elijah Moore

Elijah has now put together very good performances in back to back games. This comes with a healthy WR corp for the Jets minus Corey Davis. I think Davis coming back would knock Mims out of the lineup and steal some targets. However, with Moore being an over the middle guy who flashes sure hands and his incredible ability to get open, I feel he has surpassed Crowder as the #2 in NY.

Michael Gallup

Gallup ran routes on 91% of Dak’s drop backs in the loss to Denver Sunday. He didn’t have the box score output to show for it but with the Cowboys reverting to more 11-personnel I expect him to get his fair share over the likes of guys like Malik Turner.

Donovan Peoples-Jones

People-Jones only saw 3 targets Sunday in the blowout win vs the Bengals but he brought in 2 of them for 86 yards including a 60 yard score. He looked great getting separation and with the outside alpha spot up for grabs, Peoples-Jones has a legit shot of snagging it. Don’t be surprised if he has a let down spot in NE Week 10 as JC Jackson is playing out of his mind right now for the Patriots. They will limit the big plays and force Baker to be perfect.

Jamal Agnew

Agnew continues to see targets in this Jags offense. He was tied for 2nd most on the team with 5 bringing in 3 of them for 27 yards. It may not seem like a lot but for a team that won 9-6 it is a solid floor. The Colts offense is white hot so I expect them to have a good chance at blowing out the Jags here. Agnew should be closer to 12 targets than 5 in Week 10.

Dan Arnold

Same write up as usual. He is a TE1 moving forward in fantasy. He is becoming the #1 option overall in Jacksonville. He saw a team high 7 targets pulling in 4 of them for 60 yards. The run looks to continue against the Colts in Week 10.

Pat Freiermuth

Freiermuth continues to grow in this offense after putting up a stat line of 5/43/2 against the Bears on MNF. He ran routes on 73% of Ben’s drop backs and is now a legit every week TE1.

Tyler Conklin

He is someone I’ve admittedly been behind on as I’m not a huge buyer of the talent but the opportunity and situation is there. For the second straight week he saw 7 targets. He is worth a flier if needed.

They haven’t been the same since JJ Watt went down for the year but the Panthers are just flat out bad. The OL is bottom 5 in the NFL and Darnold looks completely lost. Darnold has been so bad they are seriously considering starting former XFL standout PJ Walker. I love Walker as a player but he is outmatched in the NFL.

The Colts get the Jags in Week 10. The Colts defense hasn’t been good but the Jags offense has been worse.

This may seem weird to type picking a defense against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs but they’ve been that bad. The Chiefs Offensive Tackles have been getting turned around all year and now comes in the #1 pass rush according to PFF. The Raiders could be in for a day of 5+ sacks and force some turnovers from Mahomes who has 12 on the year already.
