Price’s 2023 The Masters DFS Breakdown
My friends, the first major of the season is upon us, with another year at the historic Augusta National for The Masters. It’s a loaded field, an amazing course, and for once we will actually have great coverage. This is probably the best looking course on tour, and we not only get Tiger back for a major, but all the LIV guys who qualified are also here.
Price’s 2023 Valero Texas Open DFS Breakdown
We move from the match play in Austin down the road to San Antonio for the Valero. This is the last event before the Masters, and for those who have not qualified, a win this week is their only path to play next. It’s a traditional par 72, the par 5’s are not eagle holes, and it’s actually a nice DFS field this week. Weather should be fine, it’ll be a little windy, but nothing too much for the area.
Price’s 2023 WGC Dell Match Play DFS Breakdown
This week is totally different, you have round robin match play Wednesday through Friday, and then single elimination after the winner of each of the 16 groups moves to the weekend. A lot of the cheaper Euro guys people would target left for LIV, so this will be a fun, yet tough, week.
Price’s 2023 The Valspar Championship DFS Breakdown
We get the last of the Florida swing here this week for the Valspar, which falls in between elevated events, so the field is not quite as strong as we would like. The main culprit here is the guys who went to LIV always played this course and did well here, so now we have a few top end guys mixed with up-and-comers.
Price’s 2023 The Players Championship DFS Breakdown
This week we get the “fifth major” on tour, The Players Championship. This tournament has a lot of randomness to it, with favorites like Justin Thomas winning, while having people like Si Woo win at 500-1. There’s water everywhere, one bad shot can end your tournament, and if the winds pick up, it’s one of the most difficult on tour.
Price’s 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational DFS Breakdown
We move from the mediocre field of last week to another elevated event for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. This is another completely stacked field full of the best players in the world. This is a pretty difficult course, as weather affects it year in and out and you’ll see winning scores as low as 4-5 under, instead of the 16 under or better we’ve been accustomed to seeing at other events.
Price’s 2023 Honda Classic DFS Breakdown
Reality check this week going from back to back elevated events with amazing fields to this field for the Honda Classic. It’s a bad spot on the schedule for this course, and most guys skip it due to being tough and the run of tournaments the next six weeks that they want to play. This course can be absolutely brutal if the wind kicks up, there was a year a few back where lineups with 2/6 making the cut cashed. This is typically an event where chalk dies, but we are here for the carnage and may variance be on our side.
Price’s Genesis Invitational DFS Breakdown
We move on to Tiger’s tourney in LA this week for the Genesis Invitational. We have another absolutely loaded field, including Tiger himself playing. This course has a few gettable holes, but will play fairly tough compared to what we’ve seen to start the year. Maybe Jerry can bring 4Deep some luck while he is in attendance.
Price’s WM Phoenix Open DFS Breakdown
We return to the normalcy of a one course tournament without the multi-course rotations and pro-am formats that we have seen the majority of the last month on tour. This is always an exciting tournament with a wild crowd. This is the best non-major field I have seen, and they priced the top end pretty tightly on DraftKings, so it is going to really come down to getting the value pieces correct.
Price’s AT&T DFS Breakdown
Hello old friends, we are back for another exciting season of PGA. This is another rotational course pro-am with three rounds before the cut, much like two weeks ago at The Amex. Easier greens, slow rounds, with one tough course and two fairly easy ones. Not the best field, but we will hit our spots and roll with it.
